Product Description

Millet is a very small, round shaped grain that can be white, gray, yellow or red in colour with a nutty flavour. It originated in North Africa, specifically in Ethiopia in prehistoric times and is still a very important food staple across many African countries. It is also a very good source of important nutrients including copper, manganese, phosphorus and magnesium.

Like all grains, millet needs to be rinsed thoroughly under running water before cooking. For millet that is fluffy like rice boil it with one part millet and two and a half parts water or broth. For a more creamy consistency, stir frequently adding a little water every now and then.
